Plant your node.

One installer, a 620 to 710 MB download depending on your platform. On first run it fetches a ~4.6 GB local model from Citrate’s own mirror, creates your keys on the device, and stakes your membership.

Citrate Core 0.5.0. 0.5.0 is a critical update. The network moved to a new chain genesis on 40204, and 0.4.x cannot rejoin it. Your keys and wallet stay on your device.

Citrate Core is alpha software. It runs on testnet, chain 40204, where balances can be reset before mainnet. Expect rough edges. Your keys are created and held on your device, so back up your recovery phrase; no one can restore it for you. SALT has no cash value until mainnet, Q2 2027.

On a DGX / ARM server: uname -m says aarch64 → use ARM64.

After downloading an AppImage, allow it to run: right-click it, Properties, “Allow executing file as program” (or chmod +x). The command above does this for you.

What happens after install.

Create or restore your wallet; keys stay on the device. Stake the membership bond, or accept a gifted seat. Download the local model. Enter the dashboard: node syncing, member active.
